Why should the ball at CB-18 E / CB-24 E not be moved when the lock knob is only loosened minimally?
Both tripod heads does not have protective plastic sleeves which allow ball movement. The ball would be damaged (scratched). Therefore the ball should be released by a half turn at the locking handle so that you can move it freely.
